Punjab Bagpiper Band India · Shimla, Himachal Pradesh · Call 9928686346, 9413174160
Punjab Bagpiper Band India is booked as the wedding bagpiper band in Shimla for luxury weddings across Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Artist Manager Mohit Sharma confirms the date on 9928686346 or 9413174160. The performance covers groom arrival, the walk to the mandap or stage, and a short reception welcome if the venue allows a second call.
Shimla performances are compact. Hills, steps and cold change the formation. Couples in The Ridge, Mall Road outskirts and Kufri road hotels usually place the band at the start of the evening so every guest sees the formation before dinner service begins.
Typical venues for this booking are Wildflower Hall, Oberoi Cecil and Mashobra resorts. We ask for the banquet manager's name before the quote, because Shimla properties do not all allow the same set length.
Trained pipers, a uniform chosen for the venue (royal, army, Scottish, or Punjabi), a fixed repertoire, and a supervisor who speaks with your planner. Travel, instrument cases, and a written run sheet are part of the confirmation. Offices in Bathinda, Punjab and Udaipur, Rajasthan support the Shimla date.
A 3 to 4 piper entry fits a hotel door. A 5 to 7 piper line fits Wildflower Hall, Oberoi Cecil. Eight or more pipers are quoted only when the procession is long or the guest list is above the usual Shimla size. Winter ice needs a later afternoon call and fewer pipers on steps.
The band does not march the Mall. The show is at the hotel arrival court. May-June and October are the clear seasons. January dates need written weather cover. Road from Chandigarh the previous day only. No night mountain arrival.
A compact wedding entry in Shimla is often discussed from about Rs 46,000. A standard luxury set sits nearer Rs 61,000, and a long baraat-plus-reception day nearer Rs 81,000. These are planning ranges, not a fixed menu. The written quote lists pipers, hours, uniform, and travel.
On a confirmed Shimla date the supervisor reaches The Ridge, Mall Road outskirts and Kufri road hotels before the family does. Cases stay closed until the banquet manager points to the assembly point. Pipers line up only after the videographer has the opening frame. The first tune starts when the planner gives the cue, not when the crowd gets loud.
If the event is at Wildflower Hall, the walk is rehearsed once at low volume. Relatives are asked to leave a gap in front of the formation so the couple is visible. The set ends on a clean cutoff so the anchor, pandit, or DJ can take over without talking over the pipes.
The usual problems are a late call time, a piper count chosen for a small hall when the event is a lawn, and a second vendor (horse, dhol, or cold-fire entry) starting on a different cue. The band does not march the Mall. The show is at the hotel arrival court. Share one coordinator number so those teams follow the same start.
Winter ice needs a later afternoon call and fewer pipers on steps. May-June and October are the clear seasons. January dates need written weather cover. Road from Chandigarh the previous day only. No night mountain arrival. Put those four facts in the first WhatsApp to 9928686346 and the quote will match the venue instead of a generic India package.
